Our section dedicated to the super-classic WEIRD TALES has continued to grow with the addition of five more issues in October (February 1927, March 1927, April 1927, May 1927, June 1927). Our goal remains to complete the entire collection, becoming the only site in the world to have all the issues in fully restored editions.

MORE STARTLING DETECTIVE ADVENTURES
The section dedicated to the great “pulp” in the subheading has also been fleshed out with the addition of 2 further issues (December 1932 and October 1936).

As for the rest of the pulp magazines and comics on our site, we are gradually merging the issues which were previously split into two parts for technical reasons. The visual quality remains unchanged, navigation is easier, and loading times are shorter because the files are now smaller.
A GOTHIC AUDIOBOOK
In honor of the holiday of Halloween, and also as a tribute to the viewers who were fascinated by Guillermo del Toro’s FRANKENSTEIN currently in theaters, the complete audiobook of the original version of Mary Shelley’s masterpiece (1818) is now available on our website, in the extraordinary reading of Sir Christopher Lee.
You can find the audio video below, and also on the Main Page of our site (right sidebar) and in the Horror Audiobooks section.
PULP COVERS
Two more restored sci-fi covers, from 1951 and 1969, and a horror cover from 1927 have been added to their respective sections.
GREAT OLD MAGAZINES
This month our vintage magazine section saw the addition of the fascinating periodical AMERICAN CINEMATOGRAPHER, featuring our first 17 issues from 1921 to 1978.
The technical “making of” features include The Towering Inferno, Earthquake, Deliverance, The Hindenburg, Jaws, Rollercoaster, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Grease and Revenge of the Pink Panther. Also coming soon are production secrets from Star Wars, Jaws 2, Kink Kong (1976 version), and many more.

CLASSIC COMICS
Coming this November is the exciting STORIES BY FAMOUS AUTHORS ILLUSTRATED (1950 – 1951), the complete original 13-issue comic book series featuring masterpieces such as BEAU GESTE, CAPTAIN BLOOD, MACBETH, THE 39 STEPS, SHE, ROMEO AND JULIET, HAMLET, BEN HUR, SCARAMOUCHE, and more…a fun way to refresh your knowledge of the great literary classics.
Unfortunately, the equally famous CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED could not be added to our site due to copyright issues.
Friends, that’s all for this month!
See you in December on
Davide Dana.
