Hello, everybody!
These last weeks our site has conspicuously grown. The magazines we offer to our readers are now fifty, having we added five new entries: six issues of SPICY STORIES, the gorgeous short story magazine from the 1930s, six issues of WESTERN STORY from 1934-1939, the only two existing issues of FEAR! (1960, not to be confused with FEAR, the almost homonymous british magazine of the late eighties), three issues of WALT COBURN’S WESTERN MAGAZINE (1950-1951) and two issues of Street & Smith’s MYSTERY from 1940 and 1942. We know there was another MYSTERY magazine a few years before (“MYSTERY – An illustrated detective magazine”), a slick publication from Tower Magazines Inc. aimed largely to a female audience; we hope to add this, too, to our collection in the future. Currently we are working at the restoration of our 51st magazine: IMAGINATIVE TALES, the 1950s great high-side pulp of which you can open our first done issue here:
As previously said, the amount of available issues for every magazine listed in our Pulp Magazines to Read section is not at all a static one: we are endeavouring to boost their number without limitations. For this month we have added the November 1940 issue of FANTASTIC NOVELS and two issues of STAR WESTERN from 1935 and 1942.
As for this month’s Pulp Movie we’ve made a little upgrade: clicking the theatrical poster will now allow you to see the film’s trailer. The new audiobook for this month is “Lot no.249”, also known as “The Mummy”, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Finally, we have just added two new covers to our Selected Sci Fi Covers page and four more to the Western one.
We have just subscribed to the Google One service: this enables us to administer a lot of additional space by which we can now add many and many more magazines. Naturally this too has a recurrent cost, so we renew the call for you to open the ads featured on our site (you don’t need to buy, as they pay us by number of views) and, if you like, to shop through our Amazon page (any item you are looking for it’s fine, as long as it is purchased from our page). It’s all for now. See you next month, stay well and enjoy a great reading pleasure at
www.pulpmagazines.org!
This site relies on ads
If you liked this site, and want it to stay online for the next one hundred years, you have two ways to help us to face our recurrent server fees:
1) without paying: just open the ads from time to time (not for the Amazon and Ebay ads).
2) When shopping on Amazon or Ebay, start your search from our Pulp Magazines For Sale page: you can look for any item you need, not necessarily related to pulps. Just open an advertising and start your search.
Thanks for your support.
