What’s new – August 2025

A GALAXY OF WONDERS

The section dedicated to the great science fiction magazine GALAXY, inaugurated on this site last month, has now been further expanded: six more issues have been added (December 1950, May 1953, December 1954, August 1956, April 1959 and January 1972) for a total of 15 issues available for the moment.

They contain many interesting stories by Isaac Asimov, Clifford D. Simak, Fritz Leiber, Damon Knight, and even more recent authors such as Charles Sheffield, J.E. Pournelle, Gregory Benford, and others… They are certainly worth a look.

SCIENCE FICTION COVERS

Along with the expansion of the GALAXY section, two restored sci-fi covers (from 1933 and 1950) have been added to the available annual catalog. The goal, increasingly close, is to reach the 21 best pulp science fiction covers spanning the period from 1926 to 1979 (for now). This has been fully achieved, so far, for the years 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942 and 1952.
